Pip Carter and the Deads – Sacred Light

Pip Carter is the moniker that Claudio Luppi has earned over the years. Active for two decades in the national psychedelic scene, he was the primary songwriter for the band Pip Carter Lighter Maker.
In 2021, following the band’s breakup, he decided to release a double LP titled The End From The Beginning Part 1 & 2, followed by an intense period of touring that led him to form a new backing band: The Deads.
In September 2026, a new release is scheduled under the label Other Eyes Records. Sacred Light is the title of the upcoming album created in collaboration with The Deads.
Pip Carter and The Deads serve as a bridge between late-’60s San Francisco psychedelia and the British Invasion in London. They draw from a vast range of influences, from early Pink Floyd, the Grateful Dead, The Doors, and CSNY, to modern acts like King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Rose City Band, and The Black Keys.
